Jake was born in 1984 in Queensland, Australia. Jake was a champion of the most noble of breeds, the English bull terrier. His Australian Kennel Club show title was "jackarobbie jackaroo". Jake was a proud animal and finished at the top of every Australian show he entered.

Sadly, his show and stud career came to an abrupt end when he was severely poisoned at the height of his fame. Although treated at the prestigious University of Sydney Veterinary Hospital, there was nothing that modern medicine could do. Jake had stopped eating and was sent home to die.
